Mary M. Ashbrook, 72, of Cisco died Tuesday, April 21, 1992 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held April 25 at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with burial in Croninger Cemetery, Cisco.

Mrs. Ashbrook was born February 22, 1920 at Nutter Fort WVA, a d/o John Franklin and Mary Elizabeth Briggs Shingleton. She married Walden L. Ashbrook Sr., on October 28, 1940 at Nutter Fort WVA. He died June 24, 1989. Survivors include a son, Walden L. Jr. of Cisco; a daughter, Mary Haynes of Lake Fork; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Ashbrook was a former waitress and former seamstress at Lincoln Garment Co. at Lincoln. She was a member of First Christ Church of Monticello. Memorials may be made to the church.
