Amy was the 3rd of 14 children of Helier Bree & Elizabeth Haxton-Lawson Young .. https://www.familytreecircles.com/bree-58862.html

Amy married Sedman Ashton (1881-1961) in 1913. Sedman was born in Hull, East Yorkshire, a son of Sedman Ashton (1855-1938) & Harriet Virgo Watts (1851-1914). He arrived in New Zealand from London on 24 July 1908 with his cousin Robert Watts on the 'Iconic'

* 1916 - 1980 Sedman Ashton
. Sedman married Lois Ada Pearl Bree (1929-2009). Lois was a daughter of Amy's brother, Arthur Oliver Bree (see child #7 at top link)

. WEST STREET - Mr Sedman Ashton wrote asking that something be done to the roadway on West Street. He said it is nearly impossible to get either up or down with a load of material. He also asked the Council to cut a cart track so as to give access to the beach at the lower end; if so he would give a hand with the job and would pay for any filling there is to spare

Amy died here on 28 Feb 1943. Sedman returned to NZ in 1946 with his sister Mabel Ashton (1892-1980) who kept house for him in Pongakawa until his death. He died 5 March 1961 aged 80 on his farm in Waihi, Waikato, when his tractor flipped and rolled on top of him. He is buried Waihi cemetery
