Annetta 'Nettie' Lindskog, 96 died November 19th at Park Place Assisted Living in Corvallis. Nettie was born March 18, 1919 in DeSmet, South Dakota to parents Erwin and Bertha Gehm Macheel. She graduated from high school and married Henning J. 'Slim' Christensen in 1940 and he passed away in 1977. Nettie worked as a bookkeeper for Open Door. She was very devoted to her church, Zion Lutheran in Corvallis. In 1985, Nettie married Donald Lindskog whom she had known from church. She was delighted to become a part of the Lindskog clan. Church and family were both very important to her. She served in many capacities at the church and was very devoted to her children and grandchildren. It meant a lot to her that two special nieces, Jeanne and DeDe made an annual trip from the mid-west to visit 'Aunt Annetta.'
Nettie is preceded in death by her husbands, Slim who died in 1977 and Donald who died in 2007; sisters Nora and Betty; son Kenneth Lindskog; granddaughter Stephanie Lindskog; great grandson Cody Morlan and brother August Macheel.
Memorial donations in Nettie's name may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church or Benton Hospice in care of McHenry Funeral Home 206 NW 5th St., Corvallis, Oregon 97330. A visitation is planned for 1:00 to 4:00 pm, Friday December 4th at McHenry Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday December 5th at Zion Lutheran Church followed by a committal service at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Albany.
