CATHERINE NILSON OBITUARY

Catherine Amacker Nilson, a native of Natalbany, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on August 29, 2016 at her home at the age of 103. She was a member of Baton Rouge Seventh Day Adventist Church and the church treasurer for 22 years. She was employed by Exxon in the accounting department for 25 years. She enjoyed knitting, painting, ceramics, and played piano, drums, and saxophone. She is survived by her son, William A. Wilson; grandchildren, Aric Wilson, Craig Wilson, Bonnie Wilson, Brenda Wilson, Tom McKinstry, Cynthia Stone, Ronald McKinstry, Timothy McKinstry, and Deborah Kasten; 16 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cullen M. Nilson; daughter, Virginia McKinstry; and grandson, Danny McKinstry. Visitation will be Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Baton Rouge Seventh Day Adventist Church, 4455 Jones Creek Rd., from 9:00 a.m. until a Memorial Service at 11:00.
