Mrs. Cecelia Najdowski, 73, of 271 Seventh Street, Manistee died April 24, 1979 at her home.

She was born May 31, 1905 in Free Soil, the daughter of Anthony and Angela (Mantych) Sass. She was married to John F. Najdowski on November 17, 1924 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee.

Mrs. Najdowski was a self employed cateress. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Manistee, a member of the St. Joseph Rosary Society, the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary, an honorary member of the Manistee Moose Lodge and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church Social Commission.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Carolyn) Gutowski of Manistee; Mrs. Robert (Theresa) Osborn of Bear Lake; Mrs. Ray (Rosalie) Mack of Ludington, and Mrs. Patrick (Jean) Teets of Grant; two sons, the Rev. John Najdowski of Grand Haven and Richard Najdowski of Manistee; 20 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, her mother, Angela Sass of Free Soil; four brothers, Thomas and Anthony of Muskegon; Casmier and Leo of Free Soil; two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Snay of Free Soil and Mrs. August (Eleanor) Kotlewski of Muskegon; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was precedin death by her husband, John; her father, Anthony; one son, David; and two brothers, Harry and Emery.

Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Najdowski will be celbrated at 11 a.m. Friday, April 27, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with her son, Rev. John Najdowski, celebrant. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
