Stanley V. Sims died Friday, May 17, 2002 at Unity Health North in Shawnee at the age of 70. Mr. Sims was born September 19, 1931 in Seminole to Irral O. and Bertie Mae Word Sims.
He married Betty R. Masters on December 13, 1949 at Highway Baptist Church.
He retired from Tinker Air Force Base after 30 years. Mr. Sims was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of the home, one son, Brian Sims of Seminole, two daughters, Karen Chandler of Seminole and Jeannie Sartors of Tulsa, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was buried in Little Cemetery Friday under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole, Oklahoma.
