Allen J. Eldredge of Daleville, Ala., died, Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at his home after a short illness. He was 73. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at the Daleville Cultural and Convention Center with the Daleville Police and Fire Departments officiating. A private burial with honors will follow at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Daleville Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 188, Daleville, AL, 36322 or S.O.S. Animal Shelter, 25944 Highway 134, Enterprise, AL, 36330. Searcy Funeral Home, (334) 347-2517, is in charge of the arrangements.

Served in the U.S. Army, 45th Division, 2nd Division (3 campaigns), 1st Division (3 campaigns), 3rd U.S.Infantry and Company E Fort Myer,VA (3 campaigns)

Recipient of Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal(3), Army Good Conduct Medal(6), National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge with Star, Tomb Identification Badge and Vietnam Service Badge.

Served in Korean War and Vietnam War.
