Sara Eugenia "Jean" Hicks Edwards of Benton died Wednesday, June 16, 2004. She was 81.
Born April 21, 1923, at Lonoke, she was a daughter of Lena Owens Hicks and James H. Hicks Sr.
She was a homemaker and a member of Benton's First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 57 years, Charles Earl Edwards of Benton.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Vanessa Edwards of Benton; a brother, James H. Hicks Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; and a sister, Martha Beard Willis of Clarksville.
A graveside service will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday at New Rosemont Cemetery in Benton.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Ashby Funeral Home.
