Services for James "Jimmy" Hallmark, 79, of Flint will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Kniffen officiating. Burial will follow at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery in Tyler under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Hallmark passed away Friday, March 24, 2023 in Tyler. He was born September 20, 1943 in Tyler to John Edd Hallmark and Mary Sue Jordan Hallmark.

Jimmy graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and Stephen F. Austin State University. He was a District Supervisor with the Texas Department of Agriculture where he worked for 32 years. He enjoyed spending time at his lake house on Lake Tyler, fishing, hunting, baseball and most of all spending time with his family.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Mike Hallmark and John Hallmark, sister, Sarah Summers. He is survived by his loving family including, his wife of 57 years, Betty Jane Kniffen Hallmark; son Shane Hallmark, wife Denise, grandsons John Hallmark and Jimmy Hallmark of Klein, Texas; son Blake Hallmark, wife Erica Hallmark, granddaughter Anna Grace Hallmark, grandsons Patrick Hallmark and Cameron Hallmark of Tyler; son Heath Hallmark, grandson Hunter Hallmark, granddaughter Madison Hallmark, great-grandson Jude Hallmark of Tyler.

Pallbearers will be his nephews, Will Hallmark, Tim Summers, Ryan Flennikan, John Franklin Hughey, Trey Hughey, Mark Summers, Mike Summers and Jason Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers will be William R Hughey, II, Frank Hughey, Barry Quick, Randy Stone, Don Whitus, James Noe, Sherman Clem, Wayne Kniffen and Keith Kniffen.
