OBITUARY: The Redding (CA) Record Searchlight (22 Nov 2002, Page B2): REDDING -- Sim Addison Scarborough, 81, of Redding died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at Rehab Specialties Inn in Anderson. Private family services will be conducted. Born April 12, 1921, in Farmerville, La., he moved to Shasta County in 1964 from Los Angeles. He was an automotive parts manager for S.J. Denham in Redding for 15 years, -- U.S. armed forces veteran of World War II and -- member of Redding Moose Lodge 1006. Survivors include son Kirk of Vallejo; daughter Gail Peterson of Anderson; and two grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald's Chapel in Redding.

Per daughter, Gale Scarborough Peterson, he was cremated and his ashes scattered over Lake Shasta.
