Funeral services for Mrs. Lora Mae Murphy, 75, resident of Starks, Louisiana, were conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 1991 at Williams Springs Church of God with Bro. Dan Beardain and Bro. John Lumbley officiating. Burial followed at Williams Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Murphy died Thursday, November 28 at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital in Sulphur, Louisiana. She was the widow of the late Doyle Murphy, a homemaker and a member of Starks Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Martha Stanley, Mrs. Peggy Statum and Mrs. Jackie Ashworth, all of Starks, Louisiana, Mrs. Myrtie Yaw of Orange, Texas and Mrs. Jean Grimes of Deweyville, Texas; two sons, C.D. Murphy of Madison, Mississippi and David Murphy of Orangefield, Texas; three brothers, Phelan Upchurch and Crowley Upchurch, both of Winona and Vendex Upchurch, Jr. of Jackson; 24 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons of the deceased served as pallbearers.

Lee Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
