Esther Elizabeth Stewart, 82, of Crewe, VA transitioned to her Heavenly home on March 22, 2023, She was the daughter of the late Borcherd "Ben" Jibben and Anna Roye Jibben and was sister of the late Sarah Jibben and Anna M. Driggs. She is survived by her loving husband John L. Stewart; her daughters, Brenda Boger (Calvin) of Burkeville and Stephanie Deschamps of Crewe; her sons, Daniel Boger of Crewe, Thomas Harbison (Susan) of Amelia, Johnny Deschamps (Heather) and Justin Deschamps all of Crewe; 9 grandchildren, April Hayes (Brian), Melissa Chambers (Timmy), Teresa Ewing (Jack), Bethany Tannehill (Russell), Mikalah McDaniel, Christina McDaniel, Hannah Smith, Nathan Deschamps and Ali Harbison; many great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Wright of Amelia and Helen Morris of Crewe; one brother, Bill Jibben (Donna) of Blackstone; special daughter-in-law, Audry Boger and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Esther was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amelia. She enjoyed music, dancing, camping, laughing, joking and taking selfies. She dearly loved her family and adored her husband John. The family wishes to thank Amedisys Hospice of Blackstone for their loving care, kindness and compassion, especially Taylor Thomason. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 4 to 6PM at the Staples Funeral Home in Victoria. Graveside services will be held 1PM Monday, March 27, 2023 at the Sunset Hills Cemetery, Burkeville. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, C/O Peter Jarck, 4691 West Creek Road, Amelia, Va. 23002 Staples Funeral Home, Victoria, in charge of arrangements.
