Her parents, Ted and Roberta Lincoln Jefferies; her mother and father-in-law, Gene and Bernice Willis Muckleroy; her grandparents, Robert and Jean Lincoln and Jessie and Lloyd Jefferies; and her sisters-in-law Natalya Muckleroy Smith and Karen Muckleroy Barton and brother-in-law Richard Ballenger predeceased Jean Anne.
Jean Anne graduated from Nacogdoches High School in 1954 and received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University. She retired after teaching for thirty years at Bellaire High School and Westbury High School in the Houston ISD and Elsik High School in the Alief ISD. After retirement, she worked as Executive Assistant at Martin Marietta in Houston. She and Roland lived in Houston for 35 years, in Kingwood for 12 years, and moved back to Nacogdoches in 2003.
Jean Anne was a member of the Episcopal Church for 67 years at St. Andrews, St. Thomas, and Palmer Memorial in Houston, Good Shepherd in Kingwood, and Christ Church in Nacogdoches and served for many years on the Altar Guild, in the Daughters of the King, in the Episcopal Church Women, and in many bible study groups. She has also been a member of Heritage Club, DAR, DRT, Colonial Dames, UDC, Alpha Chi Honor Society, Pine Burr Sorority, and Chi Omega Sorority.
Following the service interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
