The Rev. Robert Eugene "Bobby" Belcher, 54, of Summer Shade died March 4, 2008, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville after an extended illness.
The Indianapolis native hosted the radio program "Words of Truth," which could be heard on WCLU radio station on Sunday afternoons. He was retired from SKF/RBC in Glasgow. He was a son of the late Robert Owens Belcher and Cathleen Kingrey Belcher of Summer Shade, who survives.
Other survivors include his wife of 35 years, Linda Kinslow Belcher; a daughter, Valerie Belcher of Summer Shade; a son, David Belcher and his wife, Rendy, of Mount Hermon; two grandchildren, Austyn David and Addisyn Grace Belcher; a sister, Shelia Chandler and her husband, Jerry, of Tompkinsville; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral was at Union No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church, where he was an active member, with burial in Summer Shade Cemetery.
