Linda Lee Sutton, of St. Johns, died peacefully at home on Monday, March 20, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer. She was 72 years old.

Linda was born on May 22, 1950, one of two children born to Claude and Jeanette (Charboneau) Puffer. After meeting at Central Michigan University, Linda married her best friend, Thomas Sutton, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on August 19, 1972. Together they raised two sons, Joshua and Seth, in St. Johns. She earned her Master of Fine Arts from Central Michigan University and was a talented and creative artist. Linda was known for being an excellent organizer, as she organized many events, including the Mint Festival, for many years. During her career, she was a downtown developer, helping to revitalize parts of St. Johns and Old Town in Lansing. She enjoyed camping at Bluegill Lake Family Campground, where she was quick to make friends with her neighbors at other campsites. Linda also loved crafts, gardening, cooking, canning, and designing. Linda lived life to the fullest. Most of all, Linda will be remembered for putting 1000% effort into everything she did. She was very kind to everyone she met and always looked for ways that she could help others around her. She was a loyal and loving wife, a devoted mother, and the best gramma to her "little boys".

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Tom Sutton; her sons, Joshua (Jodi) Sutton and Seth (Dee) Sutton; her cherished grandsons, Ian and Zach, Elliot and Jackson; her brother, Rick (Betty) Puffer; her nieces, Stephanie Puffer and Nicole Shavers; her uncle, Matt Charboneau; sister-in-law, Lois (Andy MacPhillimy) Sutton, as well as extended family members and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has taken place.
