Funeral Service for Phillis Jean Scarborough, 62, of Fort Worth, Texas will be at Noon on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Vian, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
She was born on September 25, 1960 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Florine (Scarborough) and Kelly M. Dickson and passed away on March 8, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated from Vian High School in 1978 with a 3.95 GPA as a Co-Valedictorian. She went on to complete her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Texas Arlington and her Master's Degree from Amberton University. Phillis loved traveling, shopping and attending Dallas Cowboy Football games and Dallas Maverick Basketball games. She loved going to downtown Fort Worth and reading while eating her cheesecake.
Survivors are two sisters, Trilba Williams of Muldrow, OK and Beverly Shaw of Roland, OK; four brothers, Donald Ray Scarborough and LaDonna of Fort Smith, AR, Darin Scarborough of Fort Smith, AR, Anthony Scarborough of Midwest City, OK and Cornelius Dickson and Nathalie of Crowley, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kelly M. Dickson and Florine Scarborough.
Active Pallbearers will be Terrence Wright, Harley Dickson, Charles Parrish, William Floyd, James Shade and Michael Dickson.
