Joseph B. Taylor, better known as Joe, passed away quietly Saturday afternoon, March 18, 2023, at his home at Bolivia, N.C.

Joe was born in Fayetteville to Jasper B. and Elizabeth Wood Taylor. His early years were spent in Fayetteville until the family relocated to Mount Olive. Joe served proudly in the United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. His career specialty was that of being a flight engineer in the Air Force, and after that, he followed the same career path in a professional capacity in the private sector.

Joe is survived by his wife, Diane Kelly Taylor, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Angie Taylor of Melbourne, Fla; two grandsons, Jackson Taylor and Zachary Taylor, both of Melbourne; a sister and brother-in-law, Rose and John Riggs of Keller, Texas; and two nephews, Johnny Riggs and Michael Riggs.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 22, beginning at 10 a.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will take place after the service at Wayne Memorial Park.
