J. Floyd Mesheau – 86, Middle Stewiacke, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, March 16, 2023, at Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born in Birch Hill, he was a son of the late Alvin and Lyle (Henderson) Mesheau.

Floyd served with Canadian Armed Forces from 1953 until 1983 and then worked for ten years with Nova Scotia Department of Transportation as Area Foreman. He was a member of Middle Stewiacke United Church and was very active in the community, especially with Stewiacke Valley Historical Society. He enjoyed woodworking and had a special place in his heart for his canine companion, Riley.

Floyd is survived by his siblings, Joan (Ken) McCallum, Truro; George (Sue) Mesheau, Quispamsis, New Brunswick; Bill (Barb) Mesheau, Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Alma (Henry); second wife, Carrie (Watson).

Interment will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Middle Stewiacke Cemetery, 2380 Highway 289, Middle Stewiacke, Reverend Michael Henderson officiating. If so desired, donations in Floyd's memory to a charity of choice are welcomed.
