She was a housewife and farmer and the widow of Wilbur Ray Highfield. She was a member of the Trinity Fish and Game Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Maysville. She attended the East Fork Christian Church.
Mrs. Highfield was born Jan. 24, 1929, in Jamestown, Tenn., the daughter of the late Virgil Buck and Vina Pritchard.
Survivors include three sons, Donald (Ann) Highfield of Trinity, J.C. (Brenda) Highfield of Maysville, and Louis (Brenda) Highfield of Manchester, Ohio; three daughters, Brenda (Cecil) Bellamy of Maysville, Faye (Rick) Fultz of Maysville, and Melissa (Darrell) Smith of Frankfort; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Buck and Walter Buck, both of Muncie, Ind.; and four sisters, Eula Reynolds and Genieve King, both of Muncie.
