Nevin E. Altland, , 83,of Messiah Lifeways, formerly of Middletown, passed away on March 18, 2023 in the Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center.
He was born December 13, 1939 in Spring Grove, son of the late George and Edith (Miller) Altland.
Nevin was a graduate of York Junior college '59 and Bucknell University '61, receiving his BS in mechanical engineering. He went on to work for the former AMP Inc. for 40+yrs until retirement.
His memberships include, Spring Creek Church of the Brethren; Trout Unlimited; and the AMP Nimrods.
Nevin is survived by; sons, Scott Altland and wife Diane, and Dale Altland and wife Lorraine; grandchildren, Brian M. Altland, Brett S. Altland, Samantha M. (Altland) Gingrich and husband Nathaniel, and Nicole R. Altland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sally A. (Hollinger) Altland.
A visitation will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023, 10-11 AM in the Spring Creek Church of the Brethren, 335 East Areba Ave., Hershey, with the funeral service starting at 11AM. Interment will be in the Spring Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made in Nevin's honor to his church.
