Lola E. Brown, 67, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2007, in Brighton, Tenn.
Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Monday at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial: Nubbin Ridge Cemetery in Hood County. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday with rosary at 7 p.m.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of choice.
Mrs. Brown was born Sept. 14, 1939, in Germantown, Tenn., to Earnest and Lorene Hall Watkins. Lola spent her childhood in Memphis, Tenn. She moved to Arlington in 1957 and graduated from Arlington High School in 1959. In 1964, Lola married Jerry Brown. Lola loved writing poetry and spoiling her grandchildren, and of course, Sparky. Lola had been a Realtor in Burleson and for the last four years was co-owner of Midway Pines RV Park in Granbury with her husband, Jerry. She is loved and will be missed by all who ever met her.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Wayne Brown; brother, Bobby Watkins; and a sister, Margaret Powell.
Survivors: Husband, Gerald W. "Jerry" Brown of Granbury; sons, Kevin J. Brown of Mineral Wells and Dale Brown and wife, Suzie, of Cleburne; sisters, Shirley Warner and husband, Carol, of Arlington and Patsy Welch and husband, Mike, of Schertz; brother, Harry Watkins of Brighton, Tenn.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
