Paul DeSoto Pitchford, 89, of Benton, formerly of Paris, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2006. He was retired from coal mining and the oil fields for Santa Fe Drilling and the widower of Ethel Pitchford.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with burial in McVay Cemetery.

He is survived by a daughter, Paula Maes of Fort Smith; a son, Tommy Don Pitchford of Las Vegas; a brother, Tommy Leon Pitchford of Greenwood; eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Henderson, Scott Bridges, Tyler Walker, Paul and Joey Caldwell and Justin Fergerson.
