Rodney Lane Goodwin was born on April 27, 1942 in Pioneer, Louisiana and departed this life on Saturday, February 23, 2008 in Rochelle, Illinois at the age of 65.

Rod, the son of Otis Rodney and Pearlie Bartlett Goodwin, was a resident of Prague. He married Charlotte Moydell Holland in Las Vegas. They have been together 28 years.

Rod was a truck driver for many years. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge, a 15-year member of AA and of the Baptist faith. Rod enjoyed camping, fishing and most of all spending time with his family.

His parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded Rod in death.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Goodwin of the home, sons and daughter-in-law, Donald Goodwin of California, Tim Goodwin of California and Derek and Norma Holland of Shawnee, daughters and sons-in-law, Penny and Jim Leach of Kingsville, Texas and Michelle and Larry Johnson of Norman, brothers, Marvin Goodwin of Buena Park, California, Gordon Goodwin of Anaheim Hills California and Alvin Goodwin of Anaheim, California, sisters, Barbara Bateman of California and Ruby Nome of California, sister-in-law, Linda Strickler and her husband, Warren "Strick" of Prague, nephew, Brian Strickler and his wife, Jennifer, and their children, Sam and Hadley of Shawnee, special friend, Loretta Gray of Prague, twelve grandchildren, one great-grandchild and his buddies, Bear and Rusty.

Burial in Prague Cemetery, Prague, Oklahoma under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Prague, Oklahoma.
