While going through the family bible of Paris Pzaro Capps and Minnie May Moore Capps, I found a letter that was written to Minnie from Ida (the date on the envelope was May 21 1918):

Dear one and all will drop you a few lines to let you now
(instead of spelling it know) how we air your paw sed tell you he had lost his apatite and dident think he wold live long he hasnt eat ina thing today he is geting so poor Cora and oscar (Cora, being Carrie Maude Moore McKelvey) was here yesturday Ola (Carrie's daughter) cant come home yet how air you all come when you can

to day is 21 your Paw is chewiny his tobacco now he eats raw eggs and alittle other things

Alfred Moore died on June 20 1918, a month after the letter was written.

The informant on her death certificate was an Erma Cunningham.
