Judith Budnik, age 79, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Friday, March 17, 2023 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. Judy was born on August 14, 1943 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Royal and Cecelia Sieracki Peterson. Judy was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1961.

On July 23, 1966 she married Alan R. Budnik at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. They had the honor of celebrating 50 years of marriage on July 23, 2016.

She was employed for 44 years at the Manitowoc Two Rivers YMCA as the Membership Director/Office Manager from 1971 until her retirement in 2015. Judy volunteered at the Manitowoc Two Rivers YMCA and the Manitowoc United Way. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the Manitowoc Two Rivers YMCA. Judy enjoyed sewing, craft projects, traveling, playing cards with her card club group of Mary, Barb, Sandy, and Maureen and getting together with her cousins for breakfast.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Alan, two son, Randall Budnik, Manitowoc and his special friend, Chris Theroux and Jeff (Darcy) Budnik , Richfield; five grandchildren, Emily, Brent, Leo, Maxwell, and Samuel; one brother, James (Debbie) Peterson, Denmark, one sister, Jean (Noel) Hansen, Manitowoc; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Richard and Donna Budnik, Chilton and Mary Budnik, Branch; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, along with other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Royal and Cecelia Peterson, one brother, Roy Peterson, and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, James Budnik and Gerald and Janice Budnik.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Doug LeCaptain. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.

Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials to a memorial fund being established in Judy's name.
