TANNER, MR. GARY WAYNE, age 61, of Leeds died Friday, February 22, 2008. Funeral services will be at Bell Funeral Home Sumiton with burial in McCormack Cemetery.

Mr. Tanner was born in the Bagley community and as a young man helped his father with JD and Son Grocery. He loved his church and years ago did evangelical preaching. He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church and was retired from ACIPCO after 30 years of service. Mr. Tanner loved to fish and hunt and was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather . He is survived by his wife, Betty Tanner of Leeds; sons, Gregory Wayne Tanner of Woodstock and Stephen Wade Tanner (Kathi) of Pleasant Grove; grandchildren, Elise and Nicholas Tanner; stepchildren, Cindy Keith (George), Stephanie Murner and James Murner; step grandchildren, Brittany Keith, Morgan Keith, and Marshall Murner; and a host of other relatives and friends.
