Leonard Walter Zakrzewski, age 68, of Lynwood, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2005.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores (nee Wroblewski) of 43 years; his loving three daughters; devoted grandfather of four grandchildren; dearest brother of Donald (Dorothy) Zakrzewski and Richard Zakrzewski and Cynthia (Vernon) Wilhelm; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 5, 2005 at 9:45 a.m. at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing to St. James Catholic Church, 223rd Street and Torrence Avenue, Sauk Village, IL. for a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m.
Leonard was an avid golfer with two hole-in-ones to his credit. Leonard was also a lover of all animals and shared so much of that love with his family. He worked at Wisconsin Steel until closing then worked for Ashland Chemical for 20 years until he retired.
He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
