Dr. Styles attended Bowdon College, Atlanta Medical College and graduated from Emory Medical Collegte in 1915. He also did post graduate study at Tulane and the University of Chicago. He practiced medicine in Bowdon, Carroll County, Georgia for 24 years before moving to Cedartown to become a founder and director of Cedartown Hospital in 1941. During his 50 years of practicing medicine, Dr. Styles is most proud of never having lost a mother in 4,116 births and lost only 12 babies. He delivered almost all his nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grandnieces. Dr. Styles is a founder and member of the board of directors of the Carrollton Fedral Savings and Loan Association.

His children were Nellie Fay Styles, b. 11/10/1913 married to Winifred Benson Spradlin, Ima Mae Styles married to J. Verne Ham, Oscar Rance Styles, Jr., married to Rudene Rivers and Robert Charles Styles b. 12/8/1924 in Bowdon and died 2/3/1937.

Dr. Oscar Rance Styles is the last living child of Benjamin Aaron Styles. He was president of the Family Organization, meeting the second Sunday of July ever year (and still does). He takes charge in his sweet, loving and humble manner.

As a child changed his middle name to Rance from Ransom. Married Annie Phillips on 8/19/14906 in Carroll County, Georgia. Died in Cedartown, Polk County, Georgia. Born in Carroll County, Georgia.
