Dalmer Simmons, 64, of Maynard passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

Dalmer was born September 22, 1958, to the late David Ulysses Simmons and Mildred Hilton. He loved to fish with his boys and loved spending time on

the farm. He was a member of the Maynard Cemetery Board and a charter member of the Maynard Volunteer Fire Department. Dalmer was a loving husband, daddy, and papa. He was a best friend to all family and was a faithful servant of Jesus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Ulysses Simmons and Mildred Hilton; and a special uncle Jimmy Hilton.

Dalmer is survived by his wife, LeAnna Simmons; two daughters, Ashley (Jeremy) Johnson of Maynard, Courtney (Tyson) Tanner of Maynard; four grandchildren, Jordyn Tanner, Jade Tanner, Tessa Lee Tanner, Sloane Tanner; sisters, Joyce Geary of Paragould, Lois Mercer of Evansville, TN., Janice (Rick) Hobson of Des Moines, IA.; brother, David (Susan) Simmons of Maynard; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

All services will be held in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. with a funeral service at 2:00 P.M. with Tim and Eric Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Glaze Creek Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are: David Simmons, Jeremy Johnson, Tyson Tanner, Derek Murdock, Tim Simmons, and Eric Simmons.

Honored to serve as honorary pallbearers are: Matt Koons, Justin Koons, McKenzie Koons, Hunter Murdock, Seth Murdock, Adam Murdock, Gary Hart, Randy Weisenbach, Thad Poore, Dennis Kerley, and the Maynard Fire Department.
