J.C. Hardy, Sr. Buried Here
Funeral services for John Calhoun Hardy, Sr., 78 who died at his home here last Saturday morning were held in the Perry Baptist Church Sunday afternoon. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Elder C.E. Darity and Elder George Riley Hunt officiated at the services.
Born in Crawford county, Mr. Hardy had lived most of his life in Houston county. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Beaver Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Howard Hardy; one son, J.C. Hardy, Jr. of Perry; two daughters, Mrs. J.D. Linton and Mrs. S.E. Skipper of Skipperton and three brothers, T.F. Hardy, Perry; Charlie Hardy, Ft. Valley, and Joe Hardy, Jennings, Fla.
Gardner Watson Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
