Professional Football Player. He first started his career as an amateur with the London Lords of the Ontario Rugby Football Union. He began his professional career in 1972 in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Montreal Alouettes from 1972 until 1981. After leaving the Alouettes at the end of the 1981 season he joined the Montreal Concordes in 1982 and stayed with them until the end of the 1984 season. While with the Alouetts he was a CFL All-Star in 1975 and 1977 and was also a CFL East All-Star from 1975 until 1979. He was a CFL East All-Star in 1982 while playing with the Concordes. In 2009 he was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame. He played in five Grey Cup Championships, winning two of them while with the Alouettes in 1974 and 1977. He was named Player of the Year in 1977 and also was awarded the James P. McMaffrey Trophy that same year. In his thirteen year career he played in two hundred and two games.
