Albert H. Loven, 86, of 606 5th Ave, died October 17 at the Winneshiek Memorial Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Loven, who had farmed in the Glenwood area are being held today (Thursday, Oct. 19). at 10:30 am at the Glenwood Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Glenwood cemetery. Pator Olaf O. Brandt will officiate.
Pallbearers are James Allison, Jerome Allison, William Loven, Vernon Loven, Roger Loven, & John Allison. Music will be furnished by Miss Carrie Kvamme organist, & Harlen Thompson soloist. Arrangements are being made by Steine Funeral Home.
The son of John & May (Lystra) Loven, Mr. Loven was born June 15, 1887 in Glenwood township [Winneshiek county, IA] where he recieved his education. He moved to Decorah 5 years ago. He was married March 4, 1916 in the Glenwood parsonage to the former Anna Fortun, & she survives, as well as 3 daughters & 3 sons: Mrs. Leonard (Margaret) Feuerhelm & Mrs. James (Irene) Allison, both of Waukon, Vernon Loven, Salem, OR, & Mrs. Lester (Evelyn) Ode & William Loven both of Decorah.
Other survivors are 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Henry Loven of Decorah & Roy Loven of Waukon & 2 sisters, Mrs. Alfred Rosenthal of Decorah & Mrs. Anga Saak of Salem, OR.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Marion; a sister, & 3 brothers.
Mr. Loven was a member of the Glenwood Lutheran Church.

Albert & Anna had 7 children together: William (1916-98), Margaret (1918-), Irene (1921-), Vernon (1923-84), Marion (1925-36), Roger (1927-80), & Evelyn (1929-)
