Funeral home obituary:
Funeral for ELOISE "WINK" BLANCHE ADAMS KIZER, 78, of Lawton, Okla., will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel, with Jim Antwine, officiating.
Mrs. Kizer died on Tuesday morning, March 4, 2008, in Lawton.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She was born on Nov. 9, 1929, in Floydada, Texas, to Charles Banks and Anita Anna Marie Bonorden Adams. She attended school and graduated from Canyon High School in 1948. She actively participated in all activities of the family farm for many years. She also owned and operated Wink's Flowers 'n Things in Hollis, and worked as a floral designer for Carroll's Flowers in Wellington, Texas. She was a cook for the Harmon County Jail, and worked in homecare in the Hollis area. During the 1950's, she was one of the first women cross-country truckers. She was also involved with the Harmon County Historical Society. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Dodson, Texas.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice Wanda Fletcher of Ruidoso, N.M., and Eva Lynette Kizer of North Las Vegas, Nev.; a son, James "Scooter" Loyd Kuykendall, Jr. and his wife Johnnie Lou of Lawton; a brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence Erroll and Fran Adams of Sun City West, Ariz.; a sister, Ganola Ann Adams of Temple, Texas; a sister-in-law, Janie Adams Dupler of Lawton; five grandchildren, Don Ray Fletcher, Jennifer Marie Meason, Jason Hall, Micah Hall and Levi Sumpter; and four great-grandchildren, Summer Fletcher, Tabitha Fletcher, Kendall Meason, and Kayla Meason; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Poin, Norman, and Alan Adams; and two sisters, Laquita Mardell Anderson and Martha Wynelle Rogers; and a granddaughter, Holly Kuykendall.
