"W M Hamilton, a lifelong resident of Cherrytree township, aged about 77 years, passed away at the family home, Saturday afternoon about 3 o'clock, his demise having been due to a complication of ailments. The deceased was married Nov 1, 1860 to Miss Elizabeth Strawbridge of Cherrytree township, who passed away quite a good number of years ago. The children surviving are Joseph Hamilton of Trees, La, William Hamilton of Los Angeles, Cal, Frank Hamilton of Pleasantville, Mrs Lillian Kitch of Dewey, Okla, Mrs Generva Shreve of St Francisville, Ill, Mesdames Margaret and Elizabeth Gilson of Titusville. Mr Hamilton was a man enjoying the highest esteem of everyone knowing him. He was a kind and loving father and it is in the home that he will especially be missed. The bereaved family will have the sympathy of a large circle in their great sorrow. Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, with the burial following at Breedtown."
