Kenneth Astor Adkins was the youngest of nine children in the Adkins Family.
* He was first married to Mollie Patrick. Daughter of Charles Patrick and Rosa A Stephens.
* He than married Alice Ruth Christian and he was the son of Isaiah Frances Adkins and Lena Spears.
He was with the CCC Twice before inlisting into the Army during world War II.

Kenneth Adkins, 79, of Apopka, Florida, died Sunday, May 7, 1995, in Orlando, Florida. Born Febuary 26, 1916, in Lincoln County, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Isaiah and Lena (Spears) Adkins. A former Oak Hill resident, he was a retired employee of the C & O Railroad and a veteran of World War II. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Alice Leonard Adkins, three sisters and five brothers. Survivors include: two step-daughters, Phyllis Chevalier of Westerville, Ohio, and Carolyn Christian of Columbus; a grandaughter Sue Ellen Carter of Apopka, Florida, who was raised in the home; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and Aline Baisden, a companion and caregiver. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m.Thursday at the Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held Friday at the Funeral Home with Reverend James Hanna officiating. Burial will follow in th Adkins Family Cemetery.
