Rachel Amelia Jarvis (age 94) was born in Malin, Oregon on August 3, 1928, and passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 29, 2023.

Rachel graduated from St. Mary's Academy in June of 1946 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She then graduated from cosmetology school in Tekoa, Washington and worked for years as a beautician, a profession that she loved.

While in Tekoa she married and had five children; Ron Jarvis, Kathleen Babbitt (Chuck), Susan Anderson (David), Cynthia Michaelbook (Ronald), and Gary Jarvis (Rita). She was an awesome grandma and loved her 12 grandkids and 26 great grandchildren.

Rachel was involved in PTA, Scouts, Job's Daughters and her beloved Ferris High School "Ham on Regal" annual play. As she represented each of her 5 children over the many years on stage, she never feared the hard work or being center of attention from time to time! We all were very proud of her enthusiasm and devotion on stage.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, bunco, dominoes, arts & crafts and travel. She loved playing cards with her special friends at the O'Malley on East Mission. Rachel will always be remembered by her caring hospitality.

Professional services are scheduled for 12:30pm on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home, located at 5100 W Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA 99205. There will be a short graveside burial followed by a reception at Das Stein Haus located at 1812 W Francis, Ave. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Rachel's life.

The family would like to thank Regency at Northpointe Rehabilitation Center, with extra love to Jeff and Andrea, whom our mother loved dearly.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.BallandDodd.com for the Jarvis family.
