Dorothy Anne Coleman Brewer, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. Dorothy Anne was born in Utica, Mississippi.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held Monday, March 13, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, Mississippi, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.

Dorothy will be laid to rest in Lakewood Memorial Park, 6000 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, MS.

Dorothy retired from the Mississippi Employment Security Commission after 34 years. She was a member of the Walter Leake DAR (Daughters of American Revolution), Mississippi Genealogical Society, Friends of Raymond, Utica Heritage Society and Jersey Settlers. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Raymond.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, James Wilson Brewer; granddaughter, Tracy Brewer; parents, Sherwood Edwin Coleman and Mattie Mai Broome Coleman and sister, Helen Coleman Beasley.

She is survived by her children, Roger Brewer Sr. (Shirley) of Raymond, Dwayne Brewer (Alycia) of Raymond, Daryl Brewer Sr. (Bonnie) of Sevierville, TN and Renee Brewer Porter (Daniel) of St. Charles, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren and twenty five great-grandchildren.
