Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Burnette, 86, of South Charleston, WV, entered the gates of Heaven on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Hospice House West, South Charleston, WV.

Betty was born on May 12, 1936 to the late Reverend E.R and Elizabeth Thompson. She worked for Park Corporation and the phone company, but was a dedicated homemaker most of her life.

She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially her beloved Isaiah Young, and she loved a good shopping trip to Walmart and Sam's.

Along with her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Dickie Burnette; brothers: Edward Thompson, Richard Thompson, and James Thompson; sister, Ella McDaniel; daughters, Becky Young and Cindy Burnette; and granddaughter, Kelli Jo Burnette

Betty is survived by her sons, Rick Burnette and Jeff (Amy) Burnette, both of South Charleston, nine grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends to Honor the Life of Betty will be held at Little Creek Golf Course, Eagles Nest Restaurant, on Saturday March 18, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
