Ruth M. Miller age 83 of Bannister, Michigan passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, surrounded by her family. Ruth was born February 9, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Edward and Eleanor (Norman) Still. Ruth was united in marriage to Mr. Loren "Skip" Miller on March 27, 1982 in Merrill, Michigan. Mr. Miller preceded Ruth in death on October 1, 2010 after twenty-eight years of marriage.
Ruth had resided in Bannister for many years. Mrs. Miller enjoyed being surrounded by her family, cooking meals, and baking for them and holidays spent together. She also enjoyed playing on her computer, casino trips throughout Michigan and cruises.
Surviving Mrs. Miller are her three loving children: Vonnie Higbee and husband Dennis, Bob Hunt and wife Deb and Jim Hunt and wife Darlene, six grandchildren: Tim Emelander, Jeff Emelander and wife Allison, Jeremy Emelander and wife Tiffany, Shannon Rostar and husband Thomas, Kimberly Hafner and husband Hayden and Kyle Hunt and Danielle Giles, fourteen great-grandchildren: Zach, Alex, Caleb and Emily, Allye and Annie, Jordyn, Madelyn and Connor, Aubrey and Anthony, Mayson and Kane and Peyton, one sister, Shirley Kinney, one brother, Fred Still and wife Michele, one sister-in-law, Carol Still, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mrs. Miller was also preceded in death by her parents, one infant sister, one brother, Leonard Still and a brother-in-law, Dave Kinney.
Funeral services honoring Ruth will be held Monday, March 13, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service, 165 W. Oak St., Harrison, with Mr. Eric Evans officiating. Visitation will take place on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery, Temple, Michigan.
