Laura June Moore of Epperson married Wayne Monroe Shaw of Coker Creek on 24 Jun 1955.

"Laura June Shaw, age 84, of Coker Creek passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 after a short illness. She passed at her beloved home surrounded by her special loves. June was a mother and mammaw to all the children that came to their house. She was happiest when their home was filled with laughter and noise.

She was a fantastic cook, her pumpkin pies, candy cakes, biscuits and coconut pies were legendary and will be missed. June made sure that everyone was welcome and fed when you crossed her threshold. She was a faithful servant to the Lord and to her people, praying to the final day. Her ministry was to take care of the children that needed care.

June was one of three sisters that married three brothers, this meant that family gatherings were always an event and boisterous. She is having the same celebration in heaven with her late husband, Wayne Shaw, Sr.

She is survived by two daughters; a son; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters; and a brother. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Wayne M. Shaw, Sr.; daughter Ruby Kathryn (Kay) Shaw; parents Arthur Felix Moore and Kathryn Dalton Moore; siblings Joan Hamby, Brenda Shaw, Jim Moore; and grandchildren Misty Blackwell and Shane Shaw.

Her canning and garden will be missed by the many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that cared for her.

Special thanks to the numerous caregivers that made sure June's last days were peaceful and filled with love. A memorial service will be held in April. Arrangements by Bierley-Hale Funeral Home, Tellico Plains, TN."
