Originally known as Zodiac by his original owner (his Grandmother), he came to live with us when he was 5 years old. My niece was 2 years old at the time and could not say the name 'Zodiac' so she called him 'Zozo'. That reminded me of the Dodo Bird from Alice in Wonderland...so that led to him being called Bird for the rest of his life. He loved to hear his name. He always responded to it and loved when I sang Blackbird by the Beatles to him.
Not a day goes by that he isn't in our thoughts. He was the best.
