C. L. Crosby died Friday in Odessa, Texas. He was 70. He was born December 26, 1928 in Paden to Lee and Josie Crosby.

He was a resident of Odessa, Texas, since 1963. He retired from Sharp Drilling Company in April of 1986. Mr. Crosby was a member of the Life Challenge Church in Odessa, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Danny Crosby, one brother, H. D. Crosby and two grandsons, Christopher Dean Crosby and Robbie Lee Crosby. Survivors include his wife, Fern Crosby of the home, daughters, Sharon Joyce Watts of Odessa, Texas, Mary Dixon of Odessa, Texas, Sandra Crosby of Austin, Texas and Clara Arocha of Slaton, Texas, sisters, Ida Vancleve of Henryetta, Iva Pyle of Paden and Lavada Dionne of Paden and twelve grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. Monday until 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Burnett Mission Church in Paden with the Rev. Paul Heard officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery in Paden under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.
