Mary graduated from Partridge High School. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked as a secretary at the Partridge Co-op for a while and then, as a reflection of her passion for sewing, as a seamstress for the Buckle in Hutchinson for over 20 years.
On November 19, 1957, Mary married Robert Eugene "Bob" Love, in Partridge. He died August 25, 2014.
She is survived by: her sons, Jim Love (Claudia) of Partridge, Dale Love (Kelly) of Partridge, Dennis Love (Lissia) of Byers, TX; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Lyle Buckley (Athelyn) of Bella Vista, AR; and many extended family members.
Mary was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; grandson, Josh Love; and sister, Norma Hornbeck.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Elliott Chapel. Private family inurnment will take place in Partridge Cemetery. Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
