ALLEN W. LEWIS, 67, of Broadrock Road, Peace Dale, an Army communication specialist in the Korean War, died Friday at home. Born in East Providence, a son of the late Joseph H. and Phoebe A. (Smith) Lewis, he was a lifelong resident of South County.
He was an avid gardener. He enjoyed many mechanical hobbies and taught mechanics and engine repair.
He leaves three sisters, Dorothy D. Wright of Peace Dale, Eleanor C. Smith of Easley, S.C., and Gladys M. Egan of North Stonington, Conn. He was the brother of the late Joseph H. and Richard J. Lewis.
A graveside service will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in St. Francis Cemetery.
