Carl Dennis Blank, Sr. 73, of Frostburg passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023, at UPMC Western
Maryland surrounded by his family.

Born September 19, 1949 in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Carl J. Blank, Jr. and Anna Mary (Lavin)
Blank.

Carl worked at the Kelly Springfield Tire Company, Sears, and Ollies. He was a member of Divine Mercy
Parish and the K of C. Also, Clarysville Fire Dept. where he was a 43-year Life Member and the Chief for
eight years. Carl served his country in the U.S. Navy, and he was a member of Farrady Post 24. Carl was
also an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon, son, Carl D. Blank, Jr. and wife Kimberly, daughter Sonya
Blank, three grandchildren, Eric Clark, Jr., Alisha Clark, and Morgan Blank; six great-grandchildren Xavier,
Draven, Rissa, Liliana, Barrett, and Maeliana; sisters, Lorna Cannon and husband Robert, Sharon
Wheeler, and husband Cecil.

Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at the Divine Mercy Parish at St. Michael's Catholic Church on
Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. with Father Ed Hendricks as celebrant.

Pallbearers will be Stevie Michaels, David Smith, Todd Logsdon, Zachary Woods, Jake Logsdon, and Jeff Pfister

Interment will be in Eckhart Cemetery.
