Teresa Ann South "Terri" McClellan, 49, of Deputy, died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at Hospice Inpatient and Palliative Care in Louisville, Ky.
She was born March 10, 1958, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Robert George and Nancy Joanne Gerber South. She lived her early life in Cincinnati before moving to Switzerland County. She was a 1976 graduate of Switzerland County High School. She had lived the past 21 years in Jefferson County and was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She was employed earlier in life with the U.S. Shoe Corp. in Vevay. She later worked at the King's Daughters' Hospital in the laundry department for seven years. For the past 10 years she was a mold operator at Grote Industries. She enjoyed preparing meals for her family, watching the Food Network, caring for her dogs and animals, watching NASCAR and especially driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Michael L. McClellan, whom she married Feb. 19, 1977; two daughters, Amy Lynn Massie and Jodi Wells, both of Deputy; one son, Curtis McClellan of Deputy; her parents of Patriot; one sister, Sandra Ann Brandt of Decatur; four brothers, Robert Michael South, John Anthony South, Jerome William South, all of Vevay, and James Matthew South of Florence, Ky.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
The funeral was at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial was in Pisgah Cemetery near Deputy.
