Dr. Findley was born in Robinsonville, Escambia Co., Al. and was the son of Columbus Battle Findley & Connie B. Higdon and was the grandson of William Harison Findley & Mary Ann Harper. Floyd was the great-grandson of William Andrew Findley & Sarah Elizabeth Parker and the great-great- grandson of Magilbry & Dolly Findley. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Geraldine Sharpless Findley of Fairhope, Al., two daughters, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren
