The Reverend Moses Sanders was a well-known Baptist preacher (and planter) in the last decades of the eighteenth century who was instrumental in founding several Baptist churches in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, including Grove Level Baptist Church in Franklin (now Banks) County, Georgia. There is no proof that he was (and probably was NOT)born in England. It is also doubtful that he served in the Continental Army. His probable parents are Francis Sanders(Birth Bet.1715–1722 in Stafford County, Virginia
