MRS. ANNA L. BENNETT DEAD.
Mrs. Anna L. Bennett died this morning at the Newman Memorial hospital, of a complication of diseases. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Dumm chapel. Rev. O. M. Showalter, pastor of the First Baptist church, will conduct the services. The body will be taken to Leavenworth where interment will be made.
Mrs. Bennett's maiden name was Anna Lydia Bethurem. She was born January 14, 1848, in Louisville, Ky. She came with her parents to Kansas about 1860, locating in Anderson county, where her father, David Bethurem, built the first frame house in his home district. In 1862 the Bethurems moved to a farm two miles east of Emporia.
Anna Bethurem was married in 1866 to Sidney P. Bennett, of Leavenworth. Mr. Bennett died 12 years ago. Mrs. Bennett is survived by one son, Joseph C. Bennett, of Los Angeles, Calif., and a brother, Isaac Bethurem, of Emporia.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Lydia Bennett, who died Wednesday morning, were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Dumm chapel, Rev. O. M. Showalter, pastor of the First Baptist church, conducted the services. The body was taken to Leavenworth, where interment was made.
