Mary Etta moved to San Diego in 1942. She worked at Convair during WWII and at an insurance company following the war as a secretary.
On July 23, 1947 Mary Etta married William H. (Bill) Greenlees and they enjoyed a wonderful marriage until Bill's death in 2010. They moved to Pacific Beach in 1950 and raised their two children.
Mary Etta was active in PTA throughout the children's school years and also served as scorekeeper and team mother during her son's Little, Pony, and Colt League days. In 1972 she began selling Avon and was active until her death. Her customers and fellow representatives became dear friends. The work kept her mind active and she had an incredible memory.
Family always came first to Mary Etta. She was a proud and beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her loss will be greatly felt by family and friends.
